PATH B
GUIDED TO IN-PERSON CARE
You won't be sent away. You'll be prepared.
Bilingual referral letter — Signed by me, in English and Portuguese
What to say when you arrive — Key phrases in Portuguese
What to expect at the hospital — How to flow with it
48-hour check-in from me — I'll ask how your visit went

Talk to a Doctor →What I treat.
Common conditions I manage via telemedicine — for travelers, expats and international visitors in Brazil.
Traveler's diarrhea · Urinary tract infections · Cold & flu · COVID-19 · Sore throat · Sinusitis · Conjunctivitis
Insect bites · Allergic rashes · Contact dermatitis · Hives · Sunburn · Mild skin infections
Fever without red flags · Headache · Nausea & vomiting · Back pain · Reflux · Dizziness · Fatigue
Prescription renewal · Medication questions · Brazilian equivalents for medications from home · Guidance on what's available over the counter
Jet lag guidance · General health questions while in Brazil · Pre-travel orientation · Health guidance for long-stay visitors
I practice general and primary care. Some conditions — cardiology, neurology, complex dermatology, etc. — require a different specialist. I'll recognize it and tell you from the start. Children under 2 always need in-person evaluation.
Not seeing your situation here? Send a message — I'll let you know honestly if I can help.

The doctor behind Doctor in Brazil.
I know what it feels like to need medical care in a country that doesn't feel familiar — not only as a doctor, but as a patient too. I've traveled through Europe, North Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and been the one holding a prescription I couldn't read, in a country where I had no idea how the healthcare system worked.
"That's why I founded Doctor in Brazil."
I'm a Brazilian physician with experience in primary care, urgent care and telemedicine.

No. I provide telemedicine consultations for international patients anywhere in Brazil — from major cities to remote beach towns. All consultations are online.
Most consultations are scheduled within a few hours of your first message, depending on availability. If you're feeling unwell and unsure what to do, send a message and I'll guide you from there.
Yes — when clinically appropriate, you'll receive a digital prescription valid at pharmacies across Brazil. Brazilian law allows telemedicine prescriptions for patients physically located in the country.
That's part of the process — not a failure of it. If an in-person evaluation is necessary, you'll receive a bilingual referral letter, guidance on what kind of care you need, and help understanding what to expect from the Brazilian healthcare system.
Coverage depends entirely on your insurance policy. I recommend contacting your provider directly for reimbursement details. If needed, I can provide consultation documentation for insurance claims.
No. For chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, severe allergic reactions, or any life-threatening emergency, call 192 (SAMU) or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
I'll tell you clearly and honestly. If your situation requires a specialist, you'll receive guidance on the appropriate next step and, when useful, a bilingual referral letter to support your in-person care.
You'll receive a short follow-up message from me approximately 48 hours after your consultation. It's a structured medical check-in — not an open messaging channel — designed to confirm whether your symptoms are improving or if reassessment may be necessary.
I don't see children under 2 years old through telemedicine. Young children often require physical examination and pediatric assessment in person.
Yes. Each patient requires their own consultation so the assessment can be done safely and properly.
Yes — I accept PIX, international credit cards, and PayPal. Payment is processed securely before your consultation.
Yes. I'm Dr. Isabella Mira Boy, MD — fully licensed in Brazil under CRM 44594/BA. You can verify my registration with the Conselho Regional de Medicina da Bahia.
Yes. Your consultation and records are confidential, protected by Brazilian medical ethics and data protection law (LGPD).
